Usually I can’t stand Jennifer Aniston (sorry, Team Jolie here) but I must give her kudos for being so fit and healthy, it is rather inspiring.

This is what I want to be: A strong, fit woman who is still in touch with her femininity.

Going Organic

Two blocks from where i live in Brooklyn is a community garden and my mom & I got access to it and started gardening there. We’re growing onions, peppers, tomatoes and flowers (which we’re of course not going to eat). No pesticides, no chemicals, just some good old natural growth.

I’m also looking into beauty, hair and body products that are organic or at least not tested on animals, I know The Body Shop is pretty good, but any other stores suggestions or brands suggestions are welcome :D

I am one of those girls with really hormonal acne. Basically I break out really bad a week or 2 before my period starts. I used to use proactiv but ehh, wasn’t that good. Besides having period breakouts, I also have oily skin. I only trust using Clean & Clear continuous cleanser, which I really need to pick up again since i ran out.

Your diet also affects your skin. Acne is caused by hormones. Milk, regardless of whether it’s organic or normal, will mess with your skin. Because the hormones from the cow that the milk came from cannot be removed so it can play a role in your own hormones and therefore your acne. Keeping the milk and things such as ice cream, cheese, etc to a minimum is a good idea. Soy milk is probably the best idea.

Junk food is a obvious no-no but i don’t listen to that. What can I say,i’m a teenager, we basically live off of junk food but i am trying to change that now.

Touching your face a lot can transfer bacteria to your skin. Excessive washing and scrubbing can irritate the skin and cause more acne.

I have a few acne scars/marks/spots along my chin that I would like to remove. I used some Olay microdembrasion cleanser and then lemon juice (the citrus acid helps) and it worked but the scars would come back after new zits appear, anybody know of something that can help with this?

Christina Hendricks <3

She may not be as athletic looking as say Doutzen Kroes or Pink but the woman damn sure promotes a healthy, sexy body image.
